My good friend and adopted brother, Robert Mathison, called me at 2:30 AM to deliver some long awaited news: he has been picked up by a record company! Though he gave me all the details and the long-term plans for releasing his new album, I don't feel I can divulge any additional information until everything is finalized and the names are on the dotted line. Suffice it to say, I am proud of Robert and wish him all the luck in the world. He is one member of an unusually talented group of friends I was blessed with acquiring in the last few years and his success both now and in the future is not a surprise to me in the least. You can hear free and downloadable tracks from some of his past work in both performance and production and engineering by visiting his site.
Once there, look for his most recent masterpiece, entitled "If It's Heavy". Robert was inspired to write this in memory of a brilliant and promising yet misguided young man who recently lost his life to a cocktail of drugs and alcohol.
