What the hell IS this thing?
Okay, bug lovers, I need some help here. The wee beastie you see pictured below was kind of enough to sit for a photoshoot today while the wife and I enjoyed some balmy outdoor weather. The wife commented it looked like something from science fiction and we wondered whether we should get too close, in fear that it might have flight capabilities.
We later found out that it did, but was more interested in getting away from us.

I'm not quite sure what kind of bug that is, but i do just love the pictures of it! I thought that you found the pictures on the internet somewhere. Did you take the pictures?
I don't know what it is, but I've seen bugs like that before. Cool photos, incidentally.
Thanks to both of you for the comments. I didn't take the pics, but only assisted my wife in taking them. She's the photographer of the house!
