And That's It

As a long-time participant on the channel #christiandebate on Internet Relay Chat, going back almost 10 years, I have had the opportunity to watch the growth of some of the other regular channel members. One such member is known as AppleGirl/Sara_Ks, who is an Operator on that channel.

Now 20 years old, she has become someone who finally made the decision for me to leave off from IRC altogether. It was a fun time and place for me, debating topics and hashing over news item. However, it became notably less fun when AppleGirl became someone with whom you either toed the line or were kicked from the channel.

Such an event happened tonight as she found it best to kick me from her channel after daring to call her out on her arrogance and dogma. Whether that kick was permanent or not is irrelevant as that exchange made it abundantly clear to me what a waste of time IRC is with people like her running it.
