Revisiting the primary thrust of the Intelligent Design argument, we find that a basic observance of biological mechanisms and functions resemble human designs and invention and, thus, the only conclusion left is that a Great Designer is responsible for life.
Leaving aside, for the moment, the mathematical gobldy-gook and pseudo-scientific methods of ID, the examination of their basic principle rests on the comparison to what is known to be designed versus what is observed in nature. This means, a design in nature must look like something we do as humans, but design and with purpose.
Invariably, the IDers will focus on the human genome as an example of pure design. According to Dembski, the genome contains "CSI", or complex specific information. While Dembski never tells us why this infers a designer, the overall thought of ID says that it looks designed and so must have a designer. Therefore, Dembski compares the chromosomes to the works of Shakespeare, as they could not be the product of anything but a greater intelligence.
